beautiful autumn

Autumn
by Emily Dickinson

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.

The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I’ll put a trinket on.

Rustling under the Leaves

I am here under the leaves, rustling about. Our internet connection was broken for a week but is now back and working. But pictures are still not happening due to a lost card reader. They are building up on my camera so there will be an influx of them once reader is found.
I am off work on a "staycation" at the moment but have come down with a bad cold and am totally germified. I haven't managed to do what I wanted to do. I have managed a bit of stitching, mainly appley for Apple Day cards.
The nights are drawing in and it's getting chilly.
